Karma as postulated by Theosophists is much the same as the karma of eastern religious traditions. Karma is the law of cause and effect. C W Leadbeater described Karma as the justice of the universe. It goes hand in hand with reincarnation. As a general rule you get what you deserve according to your actions. During your present life you will experience either good or bad karma, depending on what you have done in this or a past life. You will also generate good and bad Karma for future lives.

It is common to have both good and bad karma during the same life-time. Karma is not determinism, however it does not force an action, it simply forces a situation. It is still up to the individual to make the best of a situation. By doing the best one can in the current life, they will produce good karma for the next life.

Tekels Park to be Sold to a Developer

Concerns are raised about the fate of the wildlife as

The Spiritual Retreat, Tekels Park in Camberley,

Surrey, England is to be sold to a developer

Tekels Park is a 50 acre woodland park, purchased

for the Adyar Theosophical Society in England in 1929.

In addition to concern about the park, many are

worried about the future of the Tekels Park Deer

as they are not a protected species.

Many feel that the sale of a sanctuary

for wildlife to a developer can only mean

disaster for the park’s animals

Confusion as the Theoversity moves out of

Tekels Park to Southampton, Glastonbury &

Chorley in Lancashire while the leadership claim

that the Theosophical Society will carry on using

Tekels Park despite its sale to a developer
